NSL Confinamento/EPE, in São Lourenço do Sul (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), is known as the largest feedlot in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and one of the leading options for quarantine of live cattle for export. Approved by Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture as a Pre-Shipment Establishment (EPE), it has capacity for 20,000 head and prepares every lot with nutrition, animal welfare and sanitary control until shipment to markets such as Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Jordan. It was also the first EPE in Brazil to report its carbon emissions under the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program.
